The lockdown has imposed new ways of living and working that have made the need for hyperconnectivity evident to all, accelerating a trend already underway that is driven by the demands of the Internet of Things and the ability to extract value from Big Data to transform a range of activities. 5G is one of the answers, perhaps the main one, to this demand and brings with it a series of technical, security and governance questions about the readiness of the Italian ecosystem.
