PHYGITAL MEETING
Data governance in genomics
In recent years, genomics has been one of the pillars of study and insight of the Community Life Sciences, which has investigated its benefits for both scientific research and patient care. The opportunities for reflection and debate conducted on the subject have highlighted the strategic role of genomic data, whose main features, if properly exploited, represent a fundamental opportunity for medical and scientific progress.
For this reason, the first meeting of the Community Life Sciences in 2022 will be dedicated to the theme of data governance in genomics, with the aim of outlining some concrete proposals on the public and private sectors of management and the best practices to be used. During the meeting we will compare the European experiences of data sharing and management, designed to facilitate the exchange of information collected by different structures and strengthen the role of support to the activities of both healthcare and research.
